Wireless campus network
BCF supports the TU/e wide wireless network. It is accessible to anyone with a global TU/e account.
- Students with a TU/e laptop that includes wireless networking should be able to access it without any extra settings.
- Employees with a laptop from BCF that includes wireless networking should be able to access it without any extra settings.
Other people need to contact the helpdesk in order to request access.
The technical details of the network: it consists of Cisco 54Mbps 802.11b/g access points, protected by an 802.11x PEAP authentication infrastructure, which authenticates against the TUE Active Directory. The TUE SSID is broadcasted (so everyone should be able to see this if in range).
