About us
The chairs of Applied Analysis, Variational Methods and Scientific
Computing that constitute CASA have integrated their research and
management.
Due to CASA's transversal character, mathematical
research can
concentrate on rather generic problems and still be useful in a variety
of applications. To identify such problems, contacts outside the mathematics community
are important. This is reflected by extensive collobaration with
researchers in the technical sciences. Also contacts and collaborations
with industrial partners are
vital.
The topics covered by CASA have a prominent place in the educational
programmes at the TU/e with its own Master's programs in Computational Science and
Engineering (IAM-CSE) and the European
School for Industrial Mathematics (ESIM).
