Abstract
|
The
efficient solution of linear systems with a parameter has shown
significant reductions in computation time compared to the traditional
method. We discuss the Lanczos method for the solution of vibration
problems with Rayleigh damping. We discuss this method in the framework
of iterative methods, eigenvalue computation, and Padé
approximation.
The advantage is that real arithmetic can be used for complex valued
linear systems.
