optimal controllability for the heat equation

Abstract

It
is well known that the heat equation modeled as y' = Ay + u in L1(W) is null controllable
with control in L∞(0,T; L1(W)).
Moreover, the corresponding minimum time function is Lipschitz
continuous. We
show here that the equation above is null controllable with control in L∞(0,T; Lp(W)) with 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞. Further, the
corresponding minimum time
function is Hölder continuous.
