Dynamic capillary
pressure in two-phase flow in porous media

Abstract
|
In
this talk we consider an enhanced model of two-phase flow in porous
media where the capillary pressure is rate-dependent. We discuss the
consequences of this term for heterogeneous materials with and without
entry pressure. In the case of entry pressures the problem can be
reformulation as inequality constraint at the interface.
Suitable discretization schemes and solution algorithms are proposed
and used in various numerical simulations.
