Asymptotic behavior of the free boundary of one-dimensional
concrete carbonation problem

Abstract
|
In this talk let us
consider a mathematical model for a concrete carbonation phenomena. The
model is given as one-dimensional free boundary problem which is like a
one-phase Stefan problem. From a lot of experiments it is known that a
speed of a carbonation is proportional to the square of the time. Our
recent result on the large time behavior of the free boundary
guarantees the experimental law, partially.
