| Title: |
Iterative methods for ill-posed problems
|
Abstract
|
Many applications in
science and engineering require the solution of ill-posed problems.
This includes problems that arise in remote sensing and image
restoration. The solution of ill-posed problems is very sensitive to
errors in the data. Available data typically is contaminated by errors.
Therefore, the computation of a meaningful approximate solution of
ill-posed problems requires the use of special techniques. This talk
presents some recent developments, including methods for constraint
ill-posed problems, and describes joint work with Michiel Hochstenbach,
Serena Morigi, Fiorella Sgallari, and Qiang Ye.
