By osmotic cell swelling, we mean the movement of an organic cell with semipermeable membrane. From a mathematical point of view, this problem is still not fully understood. In this presentation, I present a simple model. In my thesis, I have proven that this model is locally well-posed (i.e. there is a unique solution), and that there is an attractive manifold of equilibria. By the latter, we mean that for initial values close to this manifold, the solution converges to some point of this manifold.
