Title:	Interpolation and approximation in more dimensions (2)

Abstract

In the second seminar we focus on interpolation by piecewise polynomials in 2D, in particular by piecewise quadratics and cubics.
Some important issues like the dimension of the space will be addressed. We will discuss different representations for bivariate piecewise cubic C1-smooth functions on general triangulations.
Finally the Hermite and Lagrange interpolation will be addressed.
