Inverse Interpolation in More Dimensions |

Abstract
|
| The third part of the SCG Seminar “Interpolation and
Approximation
in More Dimensions” is about inverse interpolation. It can be a useful
tool for solving systems of nonlinear equations, without using any
iterative
method, i.e. without solving the Jacobian of the system. After short
introduction
about one-dimensional case, the technique for more dimensions will be
shown
together with some problems that may occur.
At the end of the talk, one practical implementation of the
inverse
interpolation will be shown. It has been used in the flow methods for
solving
autonomous ODEs, therefore one such an example will be presented.
