Abstract
|
In this lecture we introduce the Lebesgue spaces Lp
and discuss some of their properties (Hölder and Minkowski's
inequality etc.)
We also consider some extensions (weighted Lp spaces,
Sobolev spaces, embedding theorems).
To conclude the lecture, we apply the theory to analyse the stability
of the steady-state solution of a heat equation with a polynomial
source
term.
