Abstract
|
The Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM)
can be considered as yet another Navier-Stokes solver. In this respect
the method allow for a great flexibility in handling complex geometries
and/or boundary conditions.
The LBM can be extended to handle complex physics like multiphase and
multi component fluids. Furthermore the Lattice Boltzmann retains
aspects connected to its being a simplified Boltzmann dynamic on a
lattice. We introduce the basic of the method and give a quick overview
of possible fields of application.
