Application of the Lattice Boltzmann method with
moving boundaries in a coarse-grained suspension model for hemodynamics
|

Abstract
|
A first-order correction that
enables the mid-link bounce-back boundary condition to describe moving
walls will be derived. This boundary condition can be used to model the
dynamics of suspensions of rigid particles in 3D.
In current work, however, we follow the same approach enriched by
phenomenological model potentials to develop a coarse-grained
particulate representation of blood dynamics. Relevant details of the
implementation as well as an overview of our preliminary results will
be given.
