Abstract
|
We study Traffic flow problems which
are important examples of wave propagation. First we focus on the
derivation of a mathematical model and we also give some examples such
as the Lighthill and Greenberg models. Next, we use the Godunov scheme
to solve the Greenberg model numerically, and we carry out numerical
experiments using Matlab . We finally discuss higher order effects and
the shock structure.
