Title:	The Wave Equation

Abstract

The wave equations are the very well known equations in Mathematics which is also known as hyperbolic differential equation. In this presentation I will discuss the occurrence of the wave equation with a special attention to acoustics applied to linearized supersonic flow. Afterwards I will discuss one dimensional wave equation, spherical wave equation and cylindrical wave equation with special interest on spherical wave equation to solve balloon problem. I will also discuss supersonic flow past a body of revolution as well. Finally I will discuss the initial value problem of wave equations in two and three dimensions.
