Curriculum

Graduated in 1983 at the State University of Groningen in theoretical physics.
PhD in 1987 at Eindhoven University of Technology in technical physics ("Kinetic theory of slightly nonideal plasmas", prof. P. Schram).
Worked at the National Aerospace Laboratory NLR on aeroacoustics since 1987.
Head of NLR's Department of Aeroacoustics from 1993 to 2004.
Representative of NLR and work package / task leader in EU projects SNAAP, APIAN, RAIN, HISAC, and FRIENDCOPTER.
Co-ordinator of the Scientific Committee of the EU Thematic Network on external aircraft noise X3-Noise.
