LaTeX
LaTex is a scientific word processing system that is very suitable for making technical documentation such as: lecture notes,
project reports, scientific papers and dissertations, particularly if mathematical formulas play
an important role. The LaTex
package is available on a large number of systems, including Windows and UNIX.
During the course a Windows version of LaTex is used.The following subjects will be treated:

introduction to LaTex

mathematic formulas
-
defining own commands and environments

tables and letters
-
simple drawings with the picture environment
-
importing Encapsulated PostScript Files

page lay-out
-
index and literature references
-
transparencies

The documentation used in this course is in Dutch.
The language of communication can be either Dutch or English, to be
decided by mutual arrangement with the students. |
