MS Excel Basis/Advanced 2007

Excel 2007 is the well known spreadsheet program belonging to MS Office 2007. In this course, starters will learn the basics for a skillful use of this application. Excel is meant for everyone working with numerical data and who wants to store and process those data in a structured way. Advanced users will learn how to process and manipulate more complex data in a more sophisticated way. The target group consists of administrative employees, scientists, and students.

- Entering data and displaying them orderly
- Making calculations on those data
- Designing a data model based on formulas
- Arranging groups of data and making connections between them
- Selecting data and displaying the selection in tables and diagrams

Learning objectives Excel 2007 Advanced
- Working with data tables and applying filters
- Working with pivot tables and pivot table charts
- Using advanced formulas and functions
- Checking and optimizing data, and applying conditional formatting
- Connecting and exchanging data from different spreadsheets
- Exchanging data with other programs and other users, including an introduction to XML
- Making (parts of) the data processing self-running by means of macros,
- Reckoning with security aspects
