Java 1.1 already works on Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher.

Changing the security settings

You'll only need to change the security settings if you want to load and save Qfolios to disk. An applet doesn't have access to your harddisk, unless you give your permission. This is how you change your MS Internet Explorer security settings, so you can save your Qfolios.

1. Go to the View menu, and select Options
2. Go to Security
3. Now you have to select a zone: Trusted Sites Zone
4. Click on Add Sites
5. Uncheck "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone
6. Add the server of this applet: http://www.win.tue.nl
7. Choose Custom settings (for expert users) en click on Settings
8. Select Custom Java permissions, and click on Java Custom Settings
9. Go to Edit permissions
10. Enable Run unsigned content

Attention!!!

By setting these security settings, you grant access to your harddisk not only to Q 1.0, but also to all other applets running on the server. Remember this when running other applets.
