One of the volumes (one of the later ones, in the blue set, as I recall) does discuss early knowledge of the Andamans. Wish I could be more precise but I don't own the books. They do have an index and move century of century, area by area. Lach is, in any case, a major resource for this kind of thing. Paul D. Buell
