DIAMANT/EIDMA symposium November 2007
On 29 and 30 November 2007 the DIAMANT/EIDMA
Symposium was held at the beautiful venue Kontakt der Kontinenten. We enhanced the successful
tradition:
- we invited a few speakers of world renown, and
- we had Ph.D. talks in all areas of DIAMANT: computer mathematics,
computer algebra, number theory, combinatorial optimisation, quantum
computing, discrete algebra and geometry, algorithms, coding theory,
and cryptology;
- and in addition we asked a few DIAMANT postdocs to talk about their
work.
The invited speakers are: Gert-Martin Greuel (Kaiserslautern), Rob de
Jeu (VU Amsterdam), Marc van Leeuwen (Poitiers), Marius van der Put
(Groningen), and Aner Shalev (Hebrew University Jerusalem). The DIAMANT
postdocs Ben Kane (Nijmegen) and Enav Weinreb (CWI) gave beautiful 40-minute
talks.
