Searchable Data Encryption
Description
Data in large data bases and over the Internet can be protected by encrypting them. When searching for particular data one would like to avoid having to decrypt the whole data base. These goals seem incompatible, but, as it turns out, they can be realized in restricted settings. This project aims to develop techniques to make searching in encrypted data secure and efficient, even in the more general settings.
