Discrete Algebra and Geometry Coding & Crypto
EIDMA DIAMANT

The Discrete Mathematics section is interested in all mathematical problems of a discrete nature. There are two main research areas in the section: one is covered by the more fundamental discrete algebra and geometry group (DAM), the other by the more applied coding theory and cryptology group (C&C). The discrete mathematics group plays a leading role in two of the three key research areas of the Euler Institute for Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications (EIDMA). The Combinatorial Optimization Chair covers the third area. The group also has the chief responsitibility for the Master's Program "Information Security" of Euforce. The section is responsible for the master's degree orientation "Digital Communication" and the "Information and Communication" stream in the Mathematics for Industry program of the Stan Ackermans Institute.
