Workshop on Problems from the Textile Industry
[ back to 'events' ]

When and Where
4th April 2002 at the Lancaster University, UK

Objective:
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss problems from the Textile Industry.  Lancashire is the traditional home of this industry in the UK and we hope to attract some new companies who have not thought of using mathematics in their work so far. The meeting will be held during the 43rd European Study Group with Industry.

Programme:
The companies will be invited to present their problems and plenty of time will be scheduled for discussion.  In addition the overseas invited experts will each give a short presentation illustrating the sort of problems that mathematics can solve.
