When and Where Organized by the Macsinet Working Group “ Filtration problems in porous media and paper manufacturing” at the Mid Sweden University, Are, Sweden, 19-21 February 2004. Conference fee: € 100 for seniors and € 50 for students   Introduction: During this final meeting for WG 14 there will be three invited main speakers and workshop discusssions with a particular focus on paper making. There will be participants from the paper making industry as well as participants from academia with expertise and knowledge in computational and thoretical modeling of filtration problems. During the sequence of meetings in WG 14, it has been clearly spelled out that there is a considerable need from e.g. paper making and hygiene products industry for improved models for simulation of complex filtration problems in the design of improved manufacturing processes. In this final meeting there will be a nice balance between industrial and academic participants where the focus is on the above mentioned industrial areas.
