Address and map
The Mark Kac seminar takes place in the city of Utrecht, at one of the following addresses:
- Janskerkhof 3 (abbreviated to JK3 on the program)
- Janskerkhof 15a (abbreviated to JK15a on the program)
- Drift 21–27 (the entrance is at number 27)
- Achter de Dom 22–24 (abbreviated to ADD22 on the program)
The four locations are marked on the map below. Utrecht central station is near the lower left corner.
Walking directions from Utrecht central station
There is currently a lot of construction going on around Utrecht Central station, so the first part of these directions might not be accurate.
In the main hall of the station (over the platforms) follow the signs to Centrum/Hoog Catharijne. Take the exit to the right towards Bushaltes A, and go down the stairs to the bus station. Cross the bicycle lane on your left and continue down the street to the right (passing all the parked bicycles) for about 50 meters. Turn left onto Moreelsepark. Continue straight ahead, cross the Catharijnesingel and Rijnkade at the traffic lights, and head further along Mariaplaats. At the end, go right and immediately left. This will bring you straight to the Domtoren (the tall church tower ahead of you). Walk through the passageway in the tower.
For the Janskerkhof and Drift locations:
After going through the church tower, continue ahead, passing along the left side of the church building in front of you, and turn left at the first opportunity onto Domstraat. This street takes you straight towards the Janskerk church. Janskerkhof 3 is to your left (do not cross the street to the church). Janskerkhof 15a is straight ahead across the bus lane and church square. For the Drift location, turn right and then left onto Drift, the narrow street along the canal.
For the Achter de Dom location:
Continue straight ahead after going through the church tower, pass around the left side of the church building in front of you and into the first street to the right. This is Achter de Dom. The seminar location is down the street on the left.
You should allow at least 20 minutes for walking.
