What is difference between "Plugin" and "Package"?

My understanding is,

plugin= some functionality of tool.

Package= something which allows us to develop new thing.

Am i correct..? Please let me know.

    Hi Manoj,

    You are almost correct: a package is collection of one or more plug-ins. A plug-in is indeed some functionaliy or tool, which can be import, export, visualization or a 'real' plug-in, e.g. an action in ProM.
