I can't find the action "Mine for a Petri net using Alpha algorithm"

Hello, I have just started to discover ProM and I have some questions.

I have installed ProM 6 and I have imported files I found here: http://www.processmining.org/event_logs_and_models_used_in_book .csv and .xes. But there was no action "Mine for a Petri net using Alpha algorithm" in the action list. I have opened the Package Manager and the AlphaMiner package is in the Up-to-date list.
So I have no clue as to why I can't find this action. What should I try?

I then used the action "Mine Petri net  with Inductive Miner" and after resulting in a Petri net I can't click on the option to view the Petri net (the "eye" icon) . So I can't see the Petri net resulted. How can I see it?

Please if anyone has ideas about these issues, give me some suggestions.

Thank you!

  • Dear Maria,
I had the same problem, then I suggest try the next steps:
    1. Install all the packages.
    2. Search for the action: "Alpha Miner"
    3. After that, apply the first option: Alpha.

    I hope I helped you
