Travel information

Amsterdam Airport

The main airport of the Netherlands is the Amsterdam Airport, Schiphol. All major airlines fly to Schiphol, including but not limited to Air France, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, and United Airlines.

Schiphol has a direct train connection to Eindhoven. The journey takes about 1.5 hours, with trains running up to four times an hour, see below for trains. Due to this perfect connection and the fact that Eindhoven central station is within walking distance of both the conference hotels and the conference venue, for most cases flying to Amsterdam Airport is recommended. For traveling back on Thursday, June 27, or later, there is no direct train from Eindhoven to Schiphol due railway reconstruction; instead you can take the train via Rotterdam, which still takes less than 2 hours to arrive at Schiphol.

Eindhoven Airport

Eindhoven has a small international airport, Eindhoven Airport, with direct connections to more than thirty destinations in Europe, including Budapest, Dublin, London, Milan, Rome, and Stockholm with such low cost carriers as RyanAir and WizzAir.

Eindhoven airport is about a 15 minute drive from the city centre. You can make this trip by bus or by taxi. Bus 401 runs to the city centre every ten minutes from Monday to Friday, every fifteen minutes on Saturdays and every half an hour on Sundays. Bus tickets can be bought via a ticket machine at the bus stop. Multiple Eindhoven taxi companies operate a service to the Eindhoven Airport (about 25€), including the AATK taxis (++31-6-50625202), Airport Taxi service (+31-6-38249525), Deeltaxi Eindhoven (+31-6-20626464), and Taxi Happy (+31-6-41036574).

Brussels Airport

Another important international airport in the vicinity of Eindhoven is Brussels Airport, Zaventem. Similarly to Schiphol, major airlines fly to Zaventem, including Air Canada, Air France, and Lufthansa. Eindhoven can be reached from Zaventem by train within three hours.

Other airports

Additional airports reachable from Eindhoven are such smaller airports as Maastricht Airport, Charleroi Airport, Antwerp Airport, and Cologne/Bonn Airport, and such major airports as Düsseldorf Airport and Frankfurt Main Airport. PIN taxi is specialized in service to all the aforementioned airports and reachable at +31 611 48 38 28.
