Introduction

The Point-One project ISLES 2014 investigates the architecture of a control system for dynamic road lighting. Based on sensor information, the control system detect traffic, cyclists and pedestrians and adjusts the level of illumination accordingly. The ISLES 2014 project investigates suitable sensor systems, communication infrastructure, illumination control algorithms and the effect of illumination on safety perception.

The System Architecture and Networking group is involved in the analysis of the communication infrastructure and algorithms with respect to deployment and control.
