How many points at the same distance?

Bas Lemmens (Eurandom)

This talk concerns equidistant sets, that is to say sets in which any two distinct points are at the same distance from each other. The main problem is to find upper bounds for the cardinality of such sets in finite dimensional normed spaces. I will survey some classic and new results for this problem. In particular, I will discuss several recent results of Alon and Pudlak.
