One of the main goals of EIDMA is to provide an optimal educational climate for its PhD students. EIDMA tries to achieve this by organizing the following common activities:
Article 1
The graduate courses and mini-courses are directly aimed at the PhD level.
Article 2
The graduate courses are given by EIDMA members who are selected for this purpose by EIDMA's boards. The selection is based
on their expertise and educational skills. The quality of the courses is supervised by the Scientific Director by means of
questionnaires.
Article 3
PhD students follow the graduate courses in their own field of expertise and at least two mini-courses. Students are encouraged
to follow at least one graduate course for each of the other two key research areas.
Article 4
PhD students present their research results to the EIDMA community at one of EIDMA's symposia or colloquia.
Article 5
Each PhD student has a personal "educational program and research plan" drawn up by his supervisor.
Article 6
A PhD student is considered to be a member of EIDMA as soon as the following procedure has been completed:
Article 7
The supervisor carries the final responsibility for the supervision of the PhD student. If problems arise, a PhD student can
contact the Scientific Director for intervention or help.
