Hardware design for elliptic curve cryptosystems and countermeasures to side-channel attacks

This research focuses on hardware implementations of elliptic curve cryptosystems over finite fields. We study fields of both, small and large characteristic. The emphasis is on developing a scalable and flexible platform that satisfies high demands on efficiency and security to implementation attacks such as timing, power analysis, electromagnetic analysis, fault based attacks, etc.
