Advanced techniques for system identification to study side channels for cryptographic algorithms: cryptanalysis and design

In this PhD we build MIMO models for cryptographic implementations that take side channel information as output(s): timing, power consumption, electromagnetic radiation, ...

The secret key is modeled as an unknown input to the system. By applying several identification techniques we investigate how many information these side channels disclose on the secret key. This also gives us a way to compare the various identificiation methods in handling our problem.
