Study and design of trusted computing platforms
This project will study how this new trusted computing platforms, such as TCPA/TCG and NGSCB, solve the existing
security problems: they deploy new techniques like platform attestation, secure bootstrapping and secure tamper
resistant storage. The shortcomings of these platforms will be analyzed.
Recent criticism on TCPA and NGSCB indicates that the platforms do not protect the privacy of the users enough.
Afterwards a new trusted computing platform will be designed to improve the existing platforms by fixing their
shortcomings. Advanced cryptographic techniques, like blinding signatures and digital credentials, can protect the
identity of the computer users.
