Security architecture for wireless ad hoc networks

The goal of this research project is the design of a complete security architecture for wireless ad-hoc networks.

The goal of this research project is the design of a complete security architecture for wireless ad-hoc networks. The nodes of these networks have very limited resources (peanut CPU and a small solar panel or battery).

Another difference with more conventional networks (like the Internet) is the ad-hoc connectivity. When a node enters the vicinity of one or more other nodes, it automatically joins the existing network of these other nodes - without the use of any online servers. Because of the absence of these online servers most conventional cryptographic techniques can no longer be used.
