I am currently working on the safety analysis of cooperative driving vehicles at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam Science Park. Prior to joining the CWI, I worked on the Hybrid Innovations for Trucks (HIT) (HTASI10002) project funded by the Dutch government and received my PhD in Computer Science in the Software Engineering and Technology (SET) research group of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Eindhoven University of Technology. My promoters were Prof. Dr. Mark G.J. van den Brand and Dr. Alexander Serebrenik.

My research interests include software architecture description mechanisms (architecture frameworks, architecture description languages), component-based software engineering, and software quality. Before the HIT project, I worked as a scientist and senior scientist for half a decade working on various advanced software development projects at the Philips Research Lab, NXP Semiconductors (former Philips Semiconductors), and Virage Logic.

I am organizing together with Peter Kourzanov (NXP Semiconductors) the Industry Track of Software Language Engineering (ITSLE) 2016. In our Program Committee, we have attracted internationally known professors and professionals in SLE. It is co-located with the ACM SIGPLAN conference on Systems, Programming, Languages and Applications: Software for Humanity (SPLASH 2016) and the Software Language Engineering (SLE 2016) conferences. Please submit a paper and attend the ITSLE 2016 and the co-located events from October 30 to Friday, November 4, 2016 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

I have also successfully organized together with Harald Altinger (Audi) and Miroslaw Staron (Chalmers | University of Gothenburg) second international Workshop on Automotive Software/System Architecture (WASA) 2016 . It is co-located with the 13th Working IEEE/IFIP Conference on Software Architecture (WICSA) and the 10th CompArch federated conference series, the premier gatherings of software architecture and component based software engineering practitioners and researchers.
