The East and West Riding Regiment

Formed 1 July 1999 with Headquarters at Minden House, Pontefract.
Successor to 3rd Battalion The Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire (Yorkshire Volunteers) , 3rd Battalion The Duke of Wellington's Regiment (Yorkshire Volunteers) and The King's Own Yorkshire Yeomanry (Light Infantry).

COMPANIES:
Ypres Company (Duke of Wellington's Regiment) at Huddersfield with Pltn at Keighley; also Pioneer Pltn. Formed by amalgamation of 'C' Company and 'B' Company 3rd Battalion The Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
Fontenay Company (Duke of Wellington's Regiment) at Barnsley including MG Pltn with Pltn at Sheffield. Formed by amalgamation of 'HQ' Company and 'A' Company 3rd Battalion The Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
Quebec Company (Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire) at Mona House, Hull with Mortar Pltn at Beverly. Formed by redesignation of 'B' Company 3rd Battalion The Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire.
Imphal Company (Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire) at Worsley Barracks, York with Leeds Rifles Pltn at Leeds; Milan Pltn at York. Formed by redesignation of 'A' Company 3rd Battalion The Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire.
Minden Company (Light Infantry) at Wakefield with Pltn at Batley; Recce Pltn in Wakefield. Formed by amalgamation of 'HQ' Squadron and 'C' Squadron The King's Own Yorkshire Yeomanry.
