The Royal Hampshire Regiment

Formed 1 July 1881 by amalgamation of 37th Regiment of Foot and 67th Regiment of Foot.
9 September 1992 amalgamated with The Queen's Regiment to form The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment (Queen's and Royal Hampshires).

1st Battalion
Formed 13 February 1702 as Thomas Meredith's Regiment of Foot. Reduced to Minden Company August 1970, but reconstitued 1972.
9 September 1992 merged with 1st Battalion and 2nd Battalion The Queen's Regiment to form 1st Battalion and 2nd Battalion The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment.
