The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons)

Formed 17 September 1994 by amalgamation of The Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Camerons) and The Gordon Highlanders.

1st Battalion
Formed 17 September 1994 by merger of 1st Battalion The Queen's Own Highlanders and 1st Battalion The Gordon Highlanders .


3rd (Volunteer) Battalion The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons)

Formed 10 February 1995 with Headquarters at Elgin by redesignation similar designated units of 2nd Battalion 51st Highland Volunteers.

COMPANIES:
HQ Company at Elgin.
B Company at Peterhead with Pltns at Keith and St Andrews.
C Company at Inverness with Pltns at Fort William and Stornoway.
D Company at Aberdeen with Pltns at Laurencekirk and Lerwick.
Support Group at Wick with Pltns at Kirkwall and Dingwall.
 

1 July 1999: Battalion disbanded as result of the Strategic Defence Review.
'B' Company and 'C' Company redesignated as 'B' Company and 'C' Company 51st Highland Regiment, absorbing sub-units from 'HQ', 'A' and 'D' Company and the Support Group.
