Formed 1 July 1999 with Headquarters at Kimberley Barracks, Preston.
Successor to 4th (Volunteer) Battalion The King's Own Royal Border Regiment  and 4th (Volunteer) Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment .

COMPANIES:
HQ (Quebec) Company at Kimberley Barracks, Preston. Formed from 'HQ' Company 4th Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment.
A Tobruk (King's Own Royal Border Regiment) Company at Barrow in Furness with Pltn at Lancaster. Formed by amalgamation of 'HQ' Company and 'C' Company 4th Battalion The King's Own Royal Regiment.
B Somme (Queen's Lancashire Regiment) Company at Preston with Pltn at Blackpool. Formed by amalgamation of 'HQ' Company and 'B' Company 4th Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment.
C Sicily (King's Own Royal Border Regiment) Company at Workington with Pltn at Carlisle. Formed by amalgamation of 'A' Company and 'D' Company 4th Battalion The King's Own Royal Border Regiment.
D Waterloo (Queen's Lancashire Regiment) Company at Blackburn with Pltn at Bury. Formed by amalgamation of 'A' Company and 'C' Company 4th Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment.
