The London Regiment

Formed 20 April 1993 with Headquarters at Battersea, London by union of 8th Battalion The Queen's Fusiliers , The London Scottish and The London Irish Rifles.

COMPANIES:
HQ (Anzio) Company at Battersea, London with Recce and Assault Pioneer Pltns at Camberwell, GPMG Pltn at Edgware. Formed by merger of 'HQ' Company and 'C' Company 8th Battalion The Queen's Fusiliers.
A (London Scottish) Company at Westminster, London with Pltn at Catford, London. Formed by redesignation of 'G' Company 1st Battalion 51st Highland Volunteers.
B (Queen's Regiment) Company at Edgware with Pltn at Hornsey, London. Formed by redesignation of 'B' Company 8th Battalion The Queen's Fusiliers.
C (City of London Fusiliers) Company at Balham, London with Pltn at Camberwell, London. Formed by amalgamation of 'A' and platoon 'C' Company 8th Battalion The Queen's Fusiliers.
D (London Irish Rifles) Company at Chelsea, London. Formed by redesignation of 'D' Company 4th Battalion The Royal Irish Rangers.

1995: Support platoons in 'HQ' (Anzio) Company were transferred to rifle companies. Recce Pltn to 'A' (London Scottish) Company, GPMG Pltn to 'B' (Queen's Regiment) Company, Assault Pioneer Pltn to 'C' (City of London Fusiliers) Company. November 1997, Recce Pltn under OPCOM 'HQ' (Anzio) Company.

1 May 1999: Recce Pltn at Camberwell under OPCOM 'D' (London Irish Rifles) Company.
1 July 1999: Regiment reorganised and absorbed 4th (Volunteer) Battalion The Royal Green Jackets , forming two additional companies as result of the Strategic Defence Review.
'F' (Royal Green Jackets) Company at Fulham, London and Davies Street, London, including Mortar Pltn. Formed by amalgamation of 'B' Company and 'HQ' Company 4th Battalion The Royal Green Jackets.
'G' (Royal Green Jackets) Company at West Ham, London, including Recce Pltn. Formed by redesignation of 'A' Company 4th Battalion The Royal Green Jackets.
Moreover: GPMG Pltn moved to Catford, London under OPCOM 'A' (London Scottish) Company.
'C' Company consolidated at Balham; 'D' Company moved to Camberwell with Rifle Pltn at Chelsea.
