A Large Regiment formed 23 April 1968 by conversion of the Regiments of the Fusilier Brigade.

Formed 23 April 1968 by redesignation of 1st Battalion The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers .

Formed 23 April 1968 by redesignation of 1st Battalion The Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers .

3rd Battalion
Formed 23 April 1968 by redesignation of 1st Battalion The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) . 1 August 1992 Battalion amalgamated with 1st Battalion.

4th Battalion
Formed 23 April 1968 by redesignation of 1st Battalion The Lancashire Fusiliers . Disbanded 1 November 1969.

Formed 1 April 1967 as Fusilier Volunteers with Headquarters at Coventry as TAVR II unit being the successor to 6th Battalion The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers (TA), 7th Battalion The Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers (TA), City of London Battalion The Royal Fusiliers (TA) and 5th Battalion The Lancashire Fusiliers (TA).

COMPANIES:
HQ (Warwickshire) Company at Coventry.
A (Northumberland) Company at Sandyford, Newcastle. Formed from 6th Battalion The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers (TA).
B (Warwickshire) Company at Coventry. Formed from 7th Battalion The Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers (TA). Moved to Sheldon shortly afterwards
C (City of London) Company at Balham, London. Formed from the City of London Battalion The Royal Fusiliers (TA).
D (Lancashire) Company at Bury. Formed from 5th Battalion The Lancashire Fusiliers (TA).
 

5th (Volunteer) Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers

Redesignated 23 April 1968 on formation of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Headquarters at Coventry

A (Northumberland) Company at Sandyford, Newcastle.
B (Warwickshire) Company at Coventry / Sheldon.
C (City of London) Company at Balham, London.
D (Lancashire) Company at Bury.

15 December 1969 'E' (Northumberland) Company formed at Ashington and Alnwick from 7th (T) Battalion The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers.

1 April 1975: 'A' Company at Newcastle transferred to 6th Battalion as 'X' Company; 'E' Company at Ashington and Alnwick transferred to 6th Battalion as 'Z' Company.

1982?: 'G' (HSF) Company formed.

1 April 1986: New 'A' Company formed at Sparkbrook from platoon 'B' Company; 'C' Company at Ashton-under-Lyne formed by redesignation of 'C' Company 4th Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment;
16 May 1988: 'C' Company at Balham, London transferred to 8th Battalion The Queen's Fusiliers.

1992: reduced to three rifle company establisment.
16 November 1992: 'C' Company at Ashton-under-Lyne disbanded; New 'C' Company formed at Shirley, Solihull by redesignation of 'C' Company 4th Battalion The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment.
December 1992: 'D' Company at Bury transferred as 'C' Company 4th Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment.
 

5th (Warwickshire) Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Volunteers)

Redesignated 23 April 1997. Headquarters at Coventry.
COMPANIES:
HQ Company at Coventry.
A Company at Sparkbrook, Birmingham.
B Company at Sheldon, Birmingham.
C Company at Shirley, Solihull.
 

1 July 1999: Battalion disbanded as result of the Strategic Defence Review.
'A' Company and 'C' Company disband; 'HQ' and 'B' Company organised into 'A' Company The West Midlands Regiment.

6th (Volunteer) Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers

Formed 1 April 1975 with Headquarters at Alnwick from Northumbrian Volunteers and 5th Battalion.

COMPANIES:
HQ Company at Berwick upon Tweed and Alnwick by redesignation of 'D' Company Northumbrian Volunteers.
X Company at Sandyford, Newcastle with Pltn at Hexham by redesignation of 'A' Company 5th Battalion.
Y Company at (Longbenton?) Newcastle by redesignation of 'C' Company Northumbrian Volunteers.
Z Company at Ashington with det at Tynemouth by redesignation of 'E' Company 5th Battalion.

1 April 1978: 'W' Company formed at Berwick-upon-Tweed with Pltn at Alnwick by redesignation of 'HQ' Company; 'HQ' Company re-located at Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

1984: St. Lucia Company (HSF) formed at Newcastle.

1992: reduced to three rifle company order of battle.
1 August 1992: 'Y' Company at Londbenton, Newcastle disbanded;
'HQ' Company moved to Longbenton, Newcastle; St. Lucia Company (HSF) disbanded.
 

6th (Northumberland) Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Volunteers)

Redesignated 23 April 1997. Headquarters at Alnwick.
COMPANIES:
HQ Company at Longbenton, Newcastle. Recce Pltn co-located with 'Z' Company and GPMG (SF) Pltn with 'X' Company.
W Company at Berwick upon Tweed with Pltn at Alnwick.
X Company at Sandyford, Newcastle with Pltn at Hexham.
Z Company at Ashington with det at Tynemouth.
 

1 July 1999: Battalion disbanded as result of the Strategic Defence Review.
'HQ' Company disbanded, 'W', 'X', 'Z' Companies organised into 'X' and 'Z' Company The Tyne Tees Regiment.
Detachments at Berwick and Hexham re-roled as Troops of 100 Squadron 168 Pioneer Regiment.
