Volunteer Regiments

About this page

On the page the lineages are given for Volunteer Regiments during the period 1967 - 2000. Because this page intended as such no links to Regimental web-pages are provided; these can be found at links listed at the British Army research page. Regiments which ceased to exist before 1967 are not listed.
The Regiments are listed in order of precedence and most of the Regiments are connected to a regular Regiment one way or another. This is clearly visible as the Volunteer Regiments first ordered themselves into some traditional Regimental grouping which later became a (Volunteer) Battalion of the Regiment itself.
