a little bit about me

I attended elementary, middle, and high school in Okinawa, Japan; received my bachelors degrees (in mathematics and cognitive science) from the University of North Florida; and then completed my PhD (in computer science) at Indiana University.

My family comes from the island of Yonaguni, the Russian far east, and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
