This homepage describes my PhD research. Here, you can find my articles, and some information about my research. You can always mail me for further questions.
I studied Technical Mathematics at Eindhoven University of Technology from September 1993 till April 1998. I graduated in the direction of operations research and statistics with a special interest in combinatorial optimization. During my study I spent four months at the University of Kopenhagen , where I did a literature study on optimization methods for job shop scheduling. I started my Master's project in September 1997 at Philips Research. This project resulted in my Master's thesis, entitled Test Time Reduction Algorithms for Core-Based ICs.
I was a PhD student at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. I did my research at Philips Research Laboratories in Eindhoven. Within Philips Research I was a member of the group Media Interaction. My research focused on the application of combinatorial optimization solutions to storage and retrieval problems in multimedia systems, and specifically in Video on Demand servers. After work I really like to sport and my favourite sports are cycling and skating. I am a member of the Eindhovense studenten schaats vereniging Isis and of Wielervereniging De Dommelstreek.
