Schedule

Requirements for the assignments:

  • deadline for submission – 7th July 2006
  • if you are ready with your assignments earlier (before 7th July 2006) you can submit it to the IR mailing list and request a face-to-face presentation in the dates given below
  • face-to-face presentations (15 minutes per group) can be given on the following dates:
    • 26, 27 June 2006
    • 3, 4, 5 July 2006
    • 10, 11 July 2006
  • for the dates 10, 11 July a schedule of presentations will be provided on this web site
  • for the dates 26, 27 June and 3, 4, 5 July you can request a week before to reserve a slot for a presentation

     

  • submit your assignment to: KBS@listserver.tue.nl

    • Subject: [Group #] [Assignment #]
    • URL containing your assignment report, additional documents and running implementation (if applicable): http://...../KBS-group#/assignment#
    • Files: KBS-group#.ass#.title.extension
    • In all files include your [KBS], Group# and Assignment#, as well as all the names of the group members

     

  • each assignment should contain:

    • 4 points - modeling - detailed description of the modeling, algorithmic and architecture approach you have followed in the assignment

      • model, algorithm, architecture - 2 points

      • justification and clear explanation - 2 points

    • 2 points - literature - overview and discussion of related literature and other material presenting alternative solutions to your problem, links to other topics of KBS presented in the lecture and clear problem description and justification of your proposed approach for a solution

      • related literature cited and alternative solutions indicated and compared - 1 point

      • links to other KBS topics - 1 point

    • 3 points - implementation (if implementation is required in the assignment) and bonus points if you have implementation additional to the assignment

      • detailed description of the implementation - 1 point

      • running implementation at a URL - 1 point

      • documented source code at a URL - 1 point

    • 1 point - presentation

      • face-to-face 15 minutes presentation of the work on the assignment of each member of the group
