Rik Kaasschieter is assistant professor of numerical analysis at Eindhoven University of Technology. He is head of the Educational Office of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. His research is positioned within the Research School Burgers Centrum.
His present research interest includes flow and transport in porous media, deformation of porous media, mixed finite elements, conservative methods for hyperbolic conservation laws, and iterative solution of sparse linear systems.
