Participated in the Esprit Working Group on Asynchronous Circuit Design (ACiD-WG), was a member of the ACiD-WG Technical Management Committee.
He was Finals Director for the World Finals of the 23rd ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest held in 1999 in Eindhoven at TUE, and Director of European Contests for 1998-2000, and received the European Founders Award at the 28th ICPC Prague in 2004.
He was chair of the
IOI Scientific Committee for 1999-2007,
and received the IOI Distinguished Service Award in Zagreb in 2007.
