PhD project: CHIP (Cultural Heritage Information Personalization) project (July 2006-now)

CHIP is part of the Dutch Science Foundation funded national program CATCH (Continuous Access to Cultural Heritage) in collaboration with Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (Tu/e), Telematica Institute and Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. We aim to create personalized services on the museum website using semantic web technology. Our research goal is to explore personalization of presentation and navigation in a semantic web framework to support user interaction and data access. Currently CHIP contains prototypes of: (1)a recommender system to build up a user profile (2)a multi faceted browser to the collection and (3)a personalized museum tour wizard.

Master project: Abramovic Digital Dossier project (2004-2006)

Abramovic digital dossier presents highly related information about artworks of the contemporary Serbian-Dutch artist Marina Abramovic in a 3D virtual space. It is a collaborative project between Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) in collaboration with Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage (ICN) and Netherlands Media Art Institute/Montevideo. In the digital dossier, we designed a novel approach to present artworks in a special content gadget with support for navigation by means of a concept graph.
